Prism Electric seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support our project teams from design through closeout. You will collaborate with clients, vendors, and field staff to keep schedules, costs, and quality on track.

This role requires strong organizational and budgeting skills, plus the ability to manage multiple projects, prepare submittals/RFIs, and assist with change orders and procurement activities. You will help ensure safety and compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• Proven people management, process management, and performance management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare submittals of drawings, material, equipment, and associated logs.
• Submit RFIs and associated logs along with follow-up.
• Prepare change requests.
• Assist with the change order process including take off, input, set-up, and explanation of costs.
• Understand how change order work is to be performed and defend any objections to cost.
• Purchase and scope major purchases to meet budgets.
• Draft purchase orders and track vendor billing.
• Draft subcontracts and unique work orders, scope subcontractors, ensure they meet requirements.
• Review project costs weekly.
• Prepare close out documents (as-builts, OM manuals, training, panel schedules).
• Prepare equipment logs for lighting and field gear.
• Develop and update project schedules.
• Solicit vendor and contractor proposals.
• Handle multiple projects in various stages.
• Understand SOV/AIA setup, bonds, retainage, and billing dates.
