Job summary

KALCON is seeking a self-starting Electrical Project Manager to drive core coordination on electrical construction scopes for data center projects. You will oversee schedule, cost, quality, safety, and coordination with the Owner, General Contractor, low-voltage contractors, vendors, commissioning agents, and internal Operations teams.

As Owner’s Representative for low-voltage work, you will translate project requirements into executable plans, review design changes, and push for cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in CM/engineering or related field.
• 5-10+ years of experience managing construction projects of increasing complexity.
• Experience in electrical construction management preferred.
• Data center or mission-critical facility experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of project controls, document management, and construction workflows.
• Proficiency in Procore strongly preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Owner’s Representative for all assigned low-voltage scopes.
• Coordinate reviews, design changes, and cost optimization with internal teams and external contractors.
• Lead coordination between procurement, construction, operations, and vendors.
• Maintain relationships with General Contractor and trade partners.
• Translate project requirements into executable plans with minimal supervision.
• Review schedule updates biweekly and validate progress with site walks.
• Develop, track, and manage MOPs for critical work in operational spaces.
• Assist with monthly financial updates, forecasts, and change orders.
• Lead document control via Procore and ensure closeout documentation readiness.

KALCON is looking for a self-starting Electrical Project Manager to drive core project coordination efforts on electrical construction scopes on mission-critical data center construction. This role oversees schedule, cost, quality, safety, and coordination activities for medium-voltage and high-voltage systems, and related infrastructure. This position will serve as the primary point of contact between the Owner, General Contractor, low-voltage contractors, vendors, commissioning agents, and internal Operations teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 5-10+ years of experience supporting or managing construction projects of increasing complexity
• Experience in electrical construction management strongly preferred
• Data center or mission-critical facility experience preferred
• Strong working knowledge of project controls, document management, and construction workflows
• Proficiency in Procore strongly preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills

Project Management & Coordination

• Serve as the Owner’s Representative for all assigned low-voltage scopes.
• Coordinate internal alignment on document reviews, contract issuances, design changes, and cost optimization efforts.
• Lead coordination efforts between procurement, construction management, operations, and external contractors.
• Maintain strong working relationships with General Contractor and trade partner teams.

Schedule & Field Oversight

• Review and evaluate schedule updates on a biweekly basis.
• Perform regular site walks to validate installation progress against schedule and sequencing at a high level.
• Coordinate low-voltage work activities with ongoing campus operations and live environments.
• Develop, track, and manage MOPs for critical work in operational spaces.

Cost & Commercial Management

• Assist with preparation of monthly financial updates and project forecasts.
• Manage contractor billing processes, including pay application review and coordination with Client finance teams.
• Lead the change order review process, ensuring accuracy of scope, cost, and documentation.
• Process purchase orders and manage distribution to Client vendors.
• Support filing and tracking of lien waivers and commercial closeout documentation.
• Act as liaison for OFCI electrical equipment, coordinating procurement status, delivery sequencing, staging, and installation readiness.

Quality & Safety Management

• Enforce project quality control and safety programs through a detailed understanding of contracts and design documents.
• Perform a minimum of two on-site safety observations per week.
• Manage Client safety program requirements and provide weekly HRA site walk reports.
• Support accurate safety metrics reporting to Client EHCS teams.

Document Control & Reporting

• Maintain Client agendas, meeting minutes, and action item tracking.
• Lead smaller project meetings and document meeting outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage Procore directory structure, monthly updates, and GC document control coordination.
• Maintain internal project file storage and documentation standards.

Commissioning & Closeout

• Provide commissioning support, including onboarding of the Commissioning Agent and coordination of testing activities.
• Facilitate review and approval of commissioning scripts and documentation.
• Assist with document control and issue closeout during commissioning.
• Drive internal and external closeout requirements, including turnover documentation and final deliverables.

Permitting & Compliance

• Assist with maintaining current campus and site permits.
• Update permit bond tracking documentation.
• Coordinate with local authorities to ensure permits remain current and compliant.

Salary Range: $140,000 USD - $220,000 USD
