This position is in a civil service competitive class that is subject to examination. Position is only open to current City employees with permanent NYC civil service status as Supervisor of Electrical Installations and Maintenance or permanent in an equivalent title that is eligible for transfer under 6.1.9 to Supervisor of Electrical Installations and Maintenance. This position is open to qualified persons with a disability who are eligible for the 55-a program. Description:
Position Summary: The Office of Food and Nutrition Services (OFNS) employs a workforce of over 8,000 employees in +1,500 locations to prepare and serve New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) students over 150 million meals annually. To carry out this work OFNS annually uses +$300M of equipment, food, supplies and services purchased under contract, and + $40M of federally supplied food commodities.
The Electrical Project Manager is responsible for the installations and inspections of electrical feeder lines for heavy duty kitchen equipment within OFNS Kitchens citywide. They also conduct site visits, verify power availability, develop and review scope of work with contractors, plan and schedule installation and repairs to kitchen equipment and their related power circuits, and verify that the work completed according to NYCPS standards, specifications and building codes in the most economical and efficient manner. Performs related work.
Reports to: Director, Field and Equipment Services.
Direct Reports: N/A
Key Relationships: Relationships will be fostered with School Facilities, The Gordian Group, custodial engineers, building managers, school food administrators and contractual vendors.

Note: To be assigned to Assignment Level II personnel must have an additional one year of satisfactory full-time experience in the installation and inspection of electrical equipment.
Preferred
$ 87,701 - $96,471 (Incumbent - 2 years of full-time continuous City service )
(Internal candidates who are selected for this position and who currently hold comparable or less senior positions within the DOE will not earn less than their current salary.)
