Job summary

Wachter in Lowell is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager who can lead projects from jobsite to office, manage schedules, budgets, subcontractors and client relationships, and provide hands-on electrical field insight.

This role requires 2+ years of electrical PM experience or 6+ years of field experience, travel up to 5%, daily office work in Lowell, and strong communication and organizational skills to drive project success and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years electrical PM experience or 6+ years in field
• Experience with project management, crew management, quotes, and material ordering
• Experience in electrical field is a plus
• PM experience in Construction, Technology, Telecommunications, or related fields is helpful
• Experience with engineered drawings, bid specs, and take-offs is helpful
• Some travel up to 5% site visits
• Proficient with computers including email, spreadsheets, and MS Office
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills
• Must type at least 40 WPM

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operational tasks including interviewing, hiring, resource assignment, and payroll approval
• Manage project life cycle from initiation to closeout
• Manage crews, hiring, and payroll approval
• Create bid sheets and contractual proposals
• Order materials and equipment for projects
• Perform quality and safety audits on materials and equipment
• Provide weekly/monthly financial forecasting and revenue projections
• Provide logistical project support
• Create/maintain project files
• Manage scheduling and billing
• Source, evaluate, and estimate bid opportunities
• Travel to customer locations for training, site walks, surveys, and rapport building
• Represent Wachter in day-to-day customer communications
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders
• Adhere to safety requirements (OSHA)
• Perform other duties as assigned
