Are you looking to begin a rewarding career in electrical project management? This is a client-facing role that requires the ability to build relationships both in and out of the office. The core responsibility of a Project Manager is to work closely with our clients to understand their challenges as well as build and manage a team whose foundation is on-the-job experience, peer-to-peer engagement, and technical training.

Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure all company, client, and project policies/procedures are followed as specified.
  2. Generate estimates, prepare and review project proposals or plans to determine and establish a time frame, work plan, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and resource allocation.
  3. Prepare and facilitate kickoff meetings & execution plans for the team.
  4. Oversee the project through administrative direction of on-site supervision to ensure the project is built following design, budget, and schedule.
  5. Interface with the customer to validate expectations are understood and met before, during, and after project completion.
  6. Plan, coordinate, and manage activities of all company personnel and subcontractors on assigned projects.
  7. Generate billings and lead the collections process for healthy project cash flow.
  8. Visit projects with field supervision and personnel to monitor progress, needs, or issues. Assist in planning future labor/material needs.
  9. Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials by working directly with vendors.
  10. Build long-term relationships with clients and employees by exceeding expectations.
  11. Develop innovative solutions and methods of procedures in sequence of operations.
  12. Locate end-user driver solutions.
  13. Provide feedback and reports to the Vice President or Director.
  14. Manage project review processes with emphasis on financial forecasting.
  15. Mentor and guide team and junior personnel toward personal development goals.
  16. Continuously update professional knowledge and skills to enhance innovation and productivity.
  17. Lead job site safety initiatives and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  18. Participate in industry events and community activities.
  19. Prepare Change Management Forms and Methods of Procedure (MOPs).
Qualifications:
  1. 5-10 years of Mission Critical & Data Center experience.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Electrical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline.
  3. Strong knowledge of electrical contracting project management.
  4. Understanding of Electrical & Low Voltage Systems within data centers and mission-critical infrastructure.
  5. Proficient in reading & interpreting project specifications & drawings.
  6. Strong computer skills required.
  7. Familiar with computer-based estimating for itemized estimates.
  8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  9. Understanding of billing and collections processes.
  10. Excellent organizational skills.
  11. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  12. Perform site surveys to develop design-build estimates.
  13. Ability to establish scope of work for proposals or RFPs.
  14. 30 Hour OSHA Certification required within the first year.
