Job description

About You:

PureGrid Electrical is looking for a Project Manager who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and driven by flawless execution. You are a proactive communicator who thrives on coordinating the moving pieces of complex electrical projects, keeping a watchful eye on schedules, material tracking, and daily field coordination.

You excel at translating project designs into actionable plans for the field and managing relationships with clients, engineers, and subcontractors. If you are a collaborative problem-solver who values safety, accuracy, and schedule above all else, and you enjoy a fast-paced environment where you can take ownership of mid-sized industrial electrical scopes, you’ll fit right in.

A Day in the Life:
  • Project Execution: Manage the day-to-day operations of mid-sized industrial electrical projects, ensuring tasks are completed safely, accurately, and strictly on schedule.
  • Field Coordination: Serve as a consistent point of contact for the Field Operations Manager and site superintendents, ensuring they have the clear plans, drawings, and labor support required to execute the work.
  • Procurement & Materials Management: Track and expedite long-lead electrical equipment (such as switchgear and transformers), coordinate nationwide material delivery, and review supplier quality to prevent site delays.
  • Financial Administration: Monitor project budgets, process billings, draft purchase orders, manage subcontracts, and track potential scope changes or change order requests.
  • Collaborative Communication: Facilitate regular project alignment meetings with general contractors, owners, and engineering teams, ensuring all stakeholders are updated on progress and milestones.
  • Documentation & Tech Control: Maintain organized project records within our construction management software, managing RFIs, submittals, and drawing updates from preconstruction through closeout.
Necessary Qualifications:
  • Experience: 3–7 years of Project Management or Assistant Project Manager experience within the electrical subcontracting space. Exposure to industrial electrical or commercial design-build projects is highly valued.
  • Technical Knowledge: solid foundational understanding of medium-to-heavy industrial electrical work, power distribution equipment, and construction blueprints.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related business field is preferred, or equivalent hands-on trade experience.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency with modern construction management tools; day-to-day experience using Procore and Bluebeam is required.
  • Skills & Approach: Highly organized with a structured work style, clear communication skills, and a practical, hands-on approach to keeping projects moving efficiently.
  • Travel & Location: Ability to travel as needed to support nationwide job sites during key project phases.

  • 100% charitable match
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage
  • Paid parental leave
