Electrical Project Manager – BESS & Solar | Contract | South Wales (Newport / Swindon / Bristol)

Start: ASAP

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Duration: 3–6 months

I’m working with a leading client in the BESS and solar sector who is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee critical construction and commissioning activities on-site in South Wales.

The Role:

You’ll be joining the team as they move from construction into the commissioning and grid connection phase of a BESS integration project. Your core responsibility will be to manage and coordinate subcontractors on-site, ensuring quality, safety, and timelines are maintained throughout the final stages of delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee electrical works across construction and commissioning phases
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors on-site
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and QA procedures
• Collaborate with internal teams and grid operators during grid connection
• Report progress to project stakeholders

About You:

• Strong background in electrical project management
• Previous BESS and/or solar experience is highly desirable
• Hands-on, proactive approach with good site-based leadership skills
• Comfortable managing subcontractor teams and driving site delivery
• Available to work Monday–Friday, site-based
• Ideally based near Newport, but open to candidates from Swindon or Bristol
