Job summary

Redd Electrical Services Inc. in New York, NY seeks an Electrical Project Manager to lead commercial and industrial electrical projects from award through closeout. You will own budget, schedule and client relationships on 3–4 concurrent projects, collaborating with APMs, field teams and clients to ensure safe, profitable, on-time work.

We’re a union/PLA shop serving the NYC region since 2010, with 21 employees. The role offers growth to Senior PM and leadership, plus competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing commercial or industrial electrical construction projects.
• Proven record running projects of 1,500,000 M USD or more
• Strong command of the NEC and electrical drawings and specs
• Experience with budgets, schedules, change orders, and progress billing
• Proficiency with Autodesk / Procore / Accubid / MS Project / Excel
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from contract award and turnover through closeout
• Build and manage project budgets, schedules and cost forecasts
• Price, negotiate and track change orders
• Serve as main contact for clients, GCs, engineers and inspectors
• Plan manpower, materials and sequencing with field superintendents and foremen
• Manage submittals, RFIs, procurement and long-lead equipment (switchgear, lighting, fire alarm, etc.)
• Prepare monthly progress billing and cost-to-complete reports
• Uphold NEC, local code, and company safety standards on every site

Redd Electrical Services Inc. is hiring an Electrical Project Manager to lead commercial and industrial electrical projects from award through closeout.

• Location: New York, NY — office plus regular job-site travel

• Type: Full-time, exempt

• Pay: $90,000–$120,000 per year, plus bonus

• Reports to: Director of Operations

• Projects: PLA Projects, Prevailing Wage, Projects. Commercial, Industrial, Healthcare

About the role

You will own the budget, schedule and client relationship on a portfolio of 3–4 concurrent electrical projects. You'll work hand in hand with APM, field formen, estimators and our clients to deliver safe, profitable, on-time work.

Redd Electrical Services Inc. is a union / PLA-shop electrical contractor serving the New York City region since 2010. We have 21 employees and specialize in commercial fit-outs and interior renovations, electrical service upgrades and switchgear replacements, LED lighting retrofits and lighting controls, fire alarm systems, and low-voltage, data, and security cabling. At 21 people, we're small enough that every project manager has a direct line to ownership and a real say in how we work. Safety comes first on every site [add a fact if you have one, e.g. EMR below 1.0 or X years without a lost-time incident]. We've grown steadily since 2010 and are adding project managers to take on larger and more complex work across the five boroughs.

What you'll do
