Job summary

gpac has been retained by a local electrical contractor in the New Orleans area to identify an Electrical Project Manager to lead complex electrical construction projects from initiation through closeout.

The role requires 3+ years of electrical project management experience and a strong ability to read blueprints, manage budgets, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical project management experience with an electrical contractor.
• Proven track record managing commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction processes, and project scheduling.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage electrical projects from start to finish.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project success.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance.
• Monitor job progress and provide leadership to field personnel.
• Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety and quality standards.
• Conduct project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve project challenges to maintain efficiency and profitability.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
