Job summary

PTS Advance is seeking an experienced Project Manager for oil and gas or petrochemical capital projects. The role focuses on leading instrumentation and electrical projects, developing and implementing the Project Execution Plan, and driving cost, schedule, and safety performance.

The candidate will oversee FEL activities, contracting strategy, vendor management, and KPI development while ensuring quality and timely project closeout.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • 10+ years of project management experience in oil and gas or petrochemical.
  • 5+ years of project management with sole accountability for the project.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and implementation of the Project Execution Plan.
  • Lead the FEL process, completing gate reviews, and obtaining management approvals.
  • Lead the Contracting Strategy effort, managing the contractor evaluation, bid and award process.
  • Manage cost, schedule, procurement and the billing payables groups.
  • Interview and approve personnel from the contractor's organization.
  • Understand contracts and manage contractors to maximize performance, controlling costs and minimizing claims and change orders.
  • Set up project facilities at site and in the contractors office.
  • Set safety expectations for the project and lead the team to achieve safety goals.
  • Ensure plant Operations and Maintenance personnel are engaged and understand their responsibilities.
  • Ensure that proper schedules are issued, reviewed, and used to drive Project performance.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the cost estimate as well as monthly cash flow forecasts.
  • Set up programs to manage vendors, fabricators and any required specialty contractors.
  • Ensure that quality processes are followed.
  • Develop, gaining approval for and managing to project KPI's and metrics.
  • Lead development of a risk management plan.
  • Prepare and give presentations to various levels of the Company and other stakeholders.
  • Timely and efficiently closing out of the project.

Emphasis on Instrumentation and Electrical capital projects (small to mid-size projects)

Position Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering

10 or more years of project management experience working in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry

5 or more years of experience working as a Project Manager with sole accountability for the project
