POSITION SUMMARY
As an Electrical Project Manager reporting to the Associate Director of Energy and Infrastructure, you will manage and lead the project team through the entire construction process from inception to completion, ensuring client satisfaction. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality projects on time, balancing financial objectives, and aligning with the client's regional business plan and vision. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, a client service attitude, attention to detail, and effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITY
- Act as a liaison, manager, and motivator to architects, engineers, consultants, officials, subcontractors, and customers throughout the construction process.
- Work with the estimating team to establish preliminary construction costs and achieve target budgets.
- Assist in preparing and executing owner construction contracts, understanding all terms and conditions.
- Manage subcontractor bidding, scope evaluation, and value engineering to meet budget objectives.
- Maintain a Job Cost Analysis report monthly.
- Prepare and manage project and cost control documents, including buyout status, RFIs, shop drawings, and change orders.
- Oversee owner requisitions and receivables, ensuring accurate and timely applications for payment.
- Establish project objectives, policies, and performance standards aligned with customer vision.
- Ensure timely submission of permits and occupancy documents.
- Distribute contract documents and project information promptly; maintain updated records.
- Review design documents and provide feedback; approve shop drawings.
- Manage construction meetings, safety compliance, and progress schedules.
- Coordinate bid processes, subcontractor awards, and change management.
- Ensure insurance and safety requirements are met.
- Oversee project close-out, punch lists, and final documentation.
- Address questions and clarify scope through RFIs.
- Plan pre-construction logistics and collaborate with field personnel.
- Possess knowledge of medium voltage substations, EV charging stations, generators, load banks, and ATS switches.
- Understand electrical project construction, blueprint reading, and scheduling.
- Manage training and performance evaluations for Assistant Project Managers.
- Collaborate with other Project Managers and team members.
- Stay updated on industry practices, management techniques, and code changes.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes, including estimating, purchasing, subcontracting, scheduling, and design/construction technology.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Jonas Premier, and Microsoft Project.
- Occasional regional travel may be required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a Master Electrician License with relevant experience.
- 5-10 years of experience in life science construction, with familiarity in pharmaceutical, energy/chemical, or manufacturing sectors.
- Excellent time management skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and appropriate auto insurance if driving for work.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Team-oriented attitude.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Long periods of sitting, occasional standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 20 pounds.
- Work may involve exposure to hazards, extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, and loud noises.
