Job summary

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Austin, TX team. You will lead project teams, drive end-to-end execution, and coordinate multi-disciplinary efforts on technically complex construction projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Master's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical construction engineering, project engineering, or related field.
• 1–2 years of managerial or leadership experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred; if not held, must be completed within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop project teams by setting expectations, coaching, and supporting professional growth.
• Direct end-to-end project execution, monitor progress, resolve issues, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, ensure schedule/quality/performance objectives.
• Drive safety and quality with a strong field presence and safety/quality programs.
• Manage procurement and subcontractor coordination to support schedules and field requirements.
• Oversee project financials and contracts, including budgeting and negotiations.
• Communicate project status and risks to stakeholders with clear updates.
• Evaluate performance and implement corrective actions and process improvements.
• Maintain project documentation for compliance and reference.

Superior Skilled Trades is partnered with a national commercial electrical contractor specializing in technically complex, sustainable, and high-performance construction projects. They are seeking an experienced Project Managers to join their team in Austin, TX. Experience with data centers, advanced technology, mission-critical facilities, healthcare, life sciences, higher education, industrial, or renewable-energy projects is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop project teams by establishing expectations, providing coaching and feedback, supporting professional development, and fostering continuous skill growth.
• Direct end-to-end project execution, monitoring progress, resolving complex issues, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring projects meet schedule, quality, and performance objectives.
• Drive project safety and quality by maintaining a strong field presence, participating in safety meetings, supporting project-specific safety and quality programs, and proactively identifying and mitigating construction risks.
• Manage procurement and subcontractor coordination, including the selection and approval of project materials, equipment, and specialty trade subcontractors to support project schedules and field requirements.
• Manage project financials and contracts, including budgeting, financial performance, contract administration, and negotiations to achieve project objectives and mitigate risk.
• Communicate project status and risks to stakeholders, providing clear updates on progress, changes, challenges, and required actions.
• Evaluate project performance and implement corrective actions and process improvements to address issues and improve project outcomes.
• Maintain project documentation to support compliance, reporting, project administration, and future reference.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Master's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical construction engineering, project engineering, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in a managerial or leadership capacity.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification must be completed within 6 months of hire if not already held.

Compensation & Benefits
