h3. Nature of Work The incumbent works in the Office of Engineering and Construction under the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)/Electrical Discipline. The Electrical Project Engineer manages, plans, and designs ITS and electrical work related to transportation facilities, structures, and equipment. The role involves large, complex engineering projects within a multidisciplinary environment involving in-house engineers and outside consultants. The work may include roadway lighting, tunnel lighting, sign lighting, power distribution systems, CCTV, DMS, RWIS, fiber optic networks, tunnel control systems (SCADA), traffic control systems, incident detection systems, and related tasks.
