Black & Veatch is seeking a Project Electrical Engineer for Power Generation. You will lead electrical design for conventional power projects, develop drawings and specifications, and coordinate with clients on site assemblies.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of five years of related work experience.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements.
• Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment.
• Visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Function as a technical expert on Conventional Power Generation Projects and may have project lead and/or administrative responsibilities.
• Develop electrical drawings including one line and three line diagrams.
• Electrical motor and control schematics, wiring diagrams, and cable sizing and schedules.
• Perform complex engineering calculations (load flow, short circuit, motor starting, arc flash analysis) using ETAP or SKM.
• Develop electrical equipment specifications and Bills of Materials (BOM) for procurement and construction.
• Create man hour budgets and schedule for projects and proposals.
• Attend on-site meetings and interface with clients.
• Extensively use Microsoft Office, ETAP, and AutoCAD to view and manipulate engineering drawing files.
