Job summary

HNTB Corporation seeks a project engineer to join our Electrical Section, designing electrical systems for highway, municipal, bridge, transit, and airport projects. The role involves producing design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications in collaboration with the project manager to meet schedules.

You will develop conceptual and detailed designs, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to a diverse range of projects for HNTB’s clients, across multiple locations

Qualifications

Electrical design experience for civil transportation projects.
Strong ability to coordinate across multiple technical disciplines.
Ability to mentor junior staff and ensure design quality.

Responsibilities

Plan and distribute discipline-specific work, ensuring schedule and budget adherence.
Assist in marketing tasks, including proposal generation.
Develop scope of work and level of effort for projects within the discipline.
Oversee completeness and accuracy of project team’s work and mentor staff.
Coordinate technical aspects with client counterparts and teaming partners.
Collaborate with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
