Job summary

Port Townsend Paper Company is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join our engineering team at Port Townsend, WA. You will lead electrical capital projects, support design reviews, and coordinate with mill teams to meet scope, cost, and schedule targets.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in industrial electrical engineering, strong power distribution and process control knowledge, and experience with gated project management. FE exam passed; PE preferred.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience in an industrial environment.
Pulp and Paper experience preferred.
Strong background in electrical power distribution, process control systems, and project management.

Responsibilities

Support project managers for multi-discipline capital projects and lead electrical capital projects.
Project work includes gated project development, detailed design, and project execution phases.
Develop scope, cost, and schedule determinants; review electrical designs and criteria.
Collaborate with mill resources and contracted engineering disciplines; manage construction and commissioning.
Perform QA inspections on electrical components and inspect repairs/upgrades.
Diagnose electrical and process-control problems and troubleshoot equipment.
