Job summary

SOFFA ELECTRIC INC is seeking a Project Engineer II (Electrical) to lead design, development, and execution of electrical, instrumentation, control, and communication systems for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will act as the primary engineering resource on projects, managing timelines and budgets to deliver compliant, high‑quality solutions.

The ideal candidate holds a BSEE with 4+ years in electrical design and controls, is proficient in AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical, and

Qualifications

4+ years in electrical and controls design for water/wastewater projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related field.
EIT certification preferred.
Ability to read and interpret technical plans and specifications.
Proficiency in power distribution, motor controls, instrumentation and PLCs.

Responsibilities

Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and resources for timely delivery.
Develop engineering documentation: diagrams, wiring schematics, control panels, MCCs, switchgear, SCADA.
Collaborate with project managers, consultants, customers, and stakeholders.
Review and approve design and technical documentation for quality and compliance.
Coordinate with procurement, production, and commissioning to ensure seamless delivery.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices; support bidding with technical input.
