Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and professional registration, with 4+ years of progressively responsible experience or an equivalent combination. Knowledge of codes and budgeting is essential.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of engineering concepts, practices, and theories.
• Understanding of internal organizational structure, budget, planning, and related factors.
• Ability to approve complex program/project specifications for completeness and compliance.
• Ability to research alternatives and designs for nonstandard items.
• Ability to determine program/project priorities and processes.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prioritize, plan, and schedule projects with DHHS Divisions and stakeholders.
• Manage design, bidding, and construction of multi-discipline capital projects within budget and schedule.
• Design electrical engineering building systems.
• Develop OC-25 cost estimates for proposed projects.
• Visit campuses to observe conditions and assist with scope development and meetings.
