Job summary

CEC seeks a recent graduate or early-career professional for a role blending Assistant Project Manager duties with strong financial ownership on mega-scale construction projects in Irving, Texas. You will work with Project Teams and Finance on cost tracking, forecasting, and month-end close while learning hands-on job costing principles.

Responsibilities include real-time cost reporting, labor analytics, procurement support, and budgeting for multi-million-dollar scopes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 0–3 years of experience (internships count).
• Strong analytical aptitude and ability to build relationships.
• Prior experience in electrical projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Teams and Finance on monthly project financials including cost tracking, variance analysis, forecasting, and month-end close.
• Maintain real-time cost tracking systems and deliver reliable data for critical decisions.
• Drive timely project reporting to leadership and stakeholders.
• Perform workforce analytics to optimize productivity and labor costs.
• Support purchasing, procurement, subcontract management, and material buyout.
• Contribute to planning, scheduling projections, and multi-million-dollar budgets.
• Act as liaison between field teams and corporate finance, translating field data to financial outcomes.
• Gain exposure to job costing methods and quarterly financial reporting practices.
• Develop understanding of productivity metrics, material usage, labor hours, and change orders.
