Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer for our Gainesville, FL office.

You will drive the engineering design process for power distribution and lighting systems on complex facilities, leading a disciplined engineering team to deliver innovative and compliant solutions. The role requires a strong background in electrical design, ABET-accredited degree, and 8+ years of hands-on experience.

Qualifications

  • BSEE/BSAE (or another engineering discipline) from an ABET accredited program.
  • 8+ years of experience designing power distribution and lighting building systems in technically sophisticated facilities.
  • Professional engineering registration preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer operation for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the engineering design process on assigned projects within a discipline.
  • Develop innovative engineering solutions aligned with project and client needs.
  • Lead the discipline team in implementing design solutions.

In this position, you will be responsible for the engineering design process on assigned projects within a particular discipline, develop innovative and unique engineering solutions to align with project, client, and project partner’s needs, and lead the discipline team in implementing the solutions.

Expertise of our most successful Electrical Project Engineer
  • BSEE/BSAE (or another engineering discipline) from an ABET accredited program.
  • 8+ years of experience designing power distribution and lighting building systems in technically sophisticated facilities.
  • Professional engineering registration preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer operation for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred.
