M/E Engineering is currently interviewing for an Electrical Project Engineer in our Schenectady, NY office. We are a full-service MEP engineering firm providing design and technology services to our clients. Our team of nearly 200 engineers and design professionals work to create built environments that support a sustainable future for our communities. Responsibilities

1. Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment for minor modifications to create schematic designs.
2. Handle assignments with clear objectives, investigating a limited number of variables.
3. Collaborate with Principal, Associate, and Senior Engineers/Designers to clarify project scope and schedule.
4. Supervise and guide team members regarding objectives, critical issues, and policies.
5. Consult with senior staff on unusual problems and developments.
6. Prepare project plans and specifications.
7. Supervise Designers and CAD Operators during tasks.
8. Ensure accuracy of designs, specifications, and drawings.
9. Establish project design concepts, criteria, scope, and space requirements.
10. Perform engineering computations and project cost estimations.
11. Coordinate between trades, architects, and clients.
12. Responsible for equipment selection and sizing.
13. Review work of designers and CAD operators, including shop drawings.
14. Suggest improvements for M/E standards.
15. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Preferably hold a Professional Engineering License (P.E.) or be working towards E.I.T. with the goal of P.E. licensing.
• Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent.
• At least two years of experience in project design within the discipline.

Compensation Range

• $72,500 - $87,360 per year.
