Job summary

Kenworth Truck Company, a PACCAR brand, is seeking a Project Engineer - Electrical Product Development to design electrical systems and architectures for heavy- and medium-duty trucks. You will interface with Product Planning, Marketing & Sales, and Management to translate customer needs into vehicle-level targets and engineering tasks.

Responsibilities include sustaining designs, new development programs, and research proposals; collaborating with suppliers and PACCAR Technical Center; planning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
• 5+ years experience is required.
• Experience in design and application of automotive wiring harnesses, automotive electronic control modules, switches, driver input devices, and HMI elements.
• Experience creating engineering documentation including drawings, diagrams, routings, and change notices.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate program definition activities with PACCAR teams to deliver cost-efficient solutions.
• Integrate Engine, After Treatment, Transmissions and ABS/ESP/ACC electrical/electronic features into Kenworth/PACCAR vehicles.
• Plan and track validation testing of components.
• Support product launch at vehicle assembly plants.
• Identify, prioritize, and resolve production and QA issues.
