Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional administrative or technical education is a plus.
  • 1–3 years of administrative, purchasing, or coordination experience preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial settings is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (such as Sage) is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of purchasing and inventory concepts.
  • Fluent in English with clear written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in entry and processing of purchase orders for electrical materials and components.
  • Track PO status and coordinate with suppliers on acknowledgments, deliveries, and shipment details.
  • Coordinate with engineering, production, service, and accounting to support material needs.
  • Maintain organized procurement records including POs and supplier communications.
  • Support ISO 9001 document control and record retention for procurement activities.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks related to procurement operations.

Purpose of the RoleThe Electrical Procurement Specialist provides administrative and operational support to theElectrical Procurement Manager by assisting with purchasing activities, purchase orderprocessing, order tracking, and coordination between internal departments and external suppliers.This role helps ensure timely procurement of electrical materials and components whilemaintaining accurate records and supporting ISO 9001 quality and documentation requirements.Key Responsibilities and Duties• Assist in the preparation, entry, and processing of purchase orders for electrical materialsand components.• Track purchase order status and follow up with suppliers to confirm orderacknowledgments, delivery dates, and shipment details.• Coordinate with internal departments (engineering, production, service, accounting) tosupport material needs and resolve order-related questions.• Maintain organized and accurate procurement records, including purchase orders,confirmations, delivery documentation, and supplier communications.• Support inventory tracking and material availability reporting as directed by theElectrical Procurement Manager.• Assist with supplier communication related to order status, documentation requests, andbasic inquiries.• Identify and escalate potential supply issues, delays, or discrepancies to the ElectricalProcurement Manager.• Support ISO 9001 document control and record retention requirements related toprocurement activities.• Assist with general administrative tasks related to procurement operations as needed.Required Competencies• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional administrative,business, or technical education is a plus.• Experience:o 1–3 years of administrative, purchasing, or coordination experience preferred.o Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment isbeneficial.o Familiarity with ERP systems (such as Sage or similar) preferred.o Basic experience with purchase order processing or vendor interaction is a plus.• Skills:o Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.o Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow established processes.o Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).o Clear written and verbal communication skills.o Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.o Basic understanding of purchasing and inventory concepts.o Ability to follow documented procedures and maintain accurate records.o Fluent in English.
