Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical, Lithia Springs, GA is seeking a full-time Pre-Fabrication Welder to join our team. The role involves welding and installation of electrical systems in the commercial sector and requires ability to read drawings and work from fabrication blueprints.

The ideal candidate has welding experience, reads blueprints, and can bend pipe and run conduit. OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain it is expected, along with a HS diploma and authorization to work in

Qualifications

• Recent related commercial electrical experience or equivalent education.
• Welding experience.
• Experience reading fabrication drawings and blueprints.
• Experience bending pipe and running various types of conduit preferred.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• OSHA 10 or ability to obtain.
• Successfully pass pre-employment background check and MVR when operating vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Works in Pre-Fab Shop performing installations, welding, alterations and repairs of electrical systems and equipment.
• Measure, layout, hang, thread pipe, solder/braze pipe and set mechanical equipment.
• Work from ladders and maintain safety policies.
• Maintains Master Inventory List and updates project stakeholders on material status.
• Advises Project Managers and Superintendents on material orders and status.
• Travel may be required.
