Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a Test Technician II to join our Electrical Power Services team. This role performs inspection, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning on electrical power distribution equipment in commercial, industrial, utility, and mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

2–5 years of experience in electrical testing or related power systems.
High school diploma or GED required.
Knowledge of electrical theory, AC/DC systems, and power distribution equipment.
Ability to travel up to 60% based on project requirements.
Knowledge of LOTO, OSHA requirements, NFPA 70E, arc-flash, and related safety concepts.

Responsibilities

Perform inspection, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning on electrical power distribution equipment.
Prepare field reports, test documentation, and equipment records.
Mentor and assist entry-level technicians and field assistants.
Communicate findings and project status to supervisors, project managers, and customers.
Support emergency response, outage work, after-hours work, and scheduled shutdowns as required.
