Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a Test Technician II to inspect, test, troubleshoot, maintain, and commission electrical power distribution equipment across commercial and industrial sites. The role supports project execution, customer relations, and safety compliance with field supervision as needed.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in electrical testing or related power systems work, with knowledge of documentation practices and proficiency using test instruments.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred in Electrical Technology or related field.
• Experience with electrical testing, inspection, troubleshooting, or maintenance on power distribution equipment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory, AC/DC systems, and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, maintenance, and troubleshooting testing of electrical power distribution equipment.
• Inspect, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and document work on switchgear, breakers, relays, transformers, MCCs, ATS, cables, batteries, grounding and metering systems.
• Prepare field reports and test documentation; communicate findings to supervisors, PMs, and customers; support emergency responses and after-hours work.
