Job summary

New York City Transit is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor II (Electrical Power) to oversee daily maintenance and defect correction, coordinate material and workforce resources, and support budgeting and procurement within the Electrical Power division. This onsite role requires strong leadership and exceptional organization for substation and traction power systems.

The incumbent will direct staff, monitor safety compliance, review plans, and act as a deputy in the Superintendent's absence when

Qualifications

Five (5) years of satisfactory full-time experience with a major railroad or transit authority installing, repairing and maintaining substation equipment, traction power and associated supervisory control equipment; at least one (1) year of this experience must have been in a supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities

Assist management in planning and directing maintenance and defect correction.
Maintain logs and records, provide verbal and written reports as required.
Develop and maintain monthly and annual material requirements, as needed, ensure timely acquisition and distribution of material, develop strategic and tactical plans to enable the division to better utilize limited material and workforce resources, in Power Operations, Power Substations, Electrical Maintenance and Cable personnel.
The incumbent will also direct employees in emergency response.
