Axiom Space is seeking an Electrical Power Flight Hardware Design Engineer to design, test, and integrate electrical power storage systems for commercial human spaceflight modules. The candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, with 7+ years of experience in power storage system design.
The role requires creating designs for batteries, developing integration plans, and communicating progress with stakeholders. Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
We are looking for a resilient, high-energy, experienced Electrical Power Flight Hardware Design Engineer to work with team members and external suppliers to design, test, and integrate electrical power storage systems for Axiom commercial human spaceflight modules. Electrical power storage hardware includes batteries and associated electronics to control charging/discharging and protect against faults.
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 7 or more years of experience in power storage system design, integration, and test. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Experience: Experience with test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multi-meters, electronic load banks, power supplies, power analyzers). Track record of delivering outcomes in ambiguous, fast-moving environments. Uses good judgment to problem-solve proactively, positively impacting hard challenges. Proven to deliver high quality results under tight deadlines.

Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task. Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation. Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement. Willing to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet critical project milestones. Physical requirements: work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time); may require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time). Standard office equipment (PC, phone, printer, etc.)
