Job summary

ICM is seeking an Electrical Power Engineer III to design electrical systems for industrial projects and provide support for installation and operation issues. This in-office role emphasizes collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous improvement within a safety-conscious environment.

The engineer will produce electrical designs, perform power studies, coordinate with projects and vendors, and support utility interfaces to ensure reliable power for industrial plants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Electrical Engineering PE license is required.
• Minimum 4 years of electrical engineering experience.
• Background in electrical power systems.
• Proficiency with MS Office and AutoCAD.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical designs and drawings for projects including primary electrical distribution, low voltage distribution, equipment specifications, equipment layout, lighting, grounding, and other related electrical issues.
• Perform load flow analysis, fault studies, arc-flash evaluations and/or co-application studies.
• Determine electrical equipment requirements including specifications, power requirements, layout, and control requirements with Projects.
• Communicate with vendors to develop equipment evaluations and delivery schedules for installation.
• Coordinate with Projects to ensure procurement of electrical equipment meets construction schedule.
• Work with electric utility companies to develop service requirements and designs for adequate power.

As an Electrical Power Engineer III, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the electrical infrastructure behind industrial operations across our organization. This position provides electrical design services for the construction of industrial projects and provides electrical support for issues related to the installation and operation of electrical equipment associated with an industrial production process. This is an in-office position.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties:

1. Provide electrical designs and drawings for projects including primary electrical distribution, low voltage distribution, equipment specifications, equipment layout, lighting, grounding, and other related electrical issues.
2. Perform various electrical studies such as load flow analysis, fault studies, arc-flash evaluations and/or co- application studies.
3. Work with Projects department in determining electrical equipment requirements including specifications, power requirements, layout, and control requirements.
4. Communicate with vendors to develop equipment evaluations, specifications, and workable delivery schedules for electrical equipment installation.
5. Coordinate with Projects department to ensure accurate specification and procurement of electrical equipment in a timely manner to meet construction schedule.
6. Work with electric utility companies to develop electrical service requirements and designs to provide adequate electric power to plants and to address co- issues.
7. Develop ideas and methods for the continuous improvement in the design process and equipment applications.
8. Provide engineering support to existing plants in analyzing and resolving problems or addressing other electrical issues.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
