Job summary

ICM in the United States is seeking an Electrical Power Engineer III to shape the electrical infrastructure behind industrial operations. The role combines in-office design with occasional onsite visits, focusing on primary and low-voltage distribution, equipment layouts, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
• Electrical Engineering PE license (required).
• Minimum 4 years of electrical engineering experience (required).

• Proficiency with MS Office and AutoCAD.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical designs and drawings for primary and low voltage distribution, lighting, and grounding.
• Perform load flow, fault, arc-flash, and co-generation studies.
• Collaborate with Projects on equipment requirements, layout, and controls.
• Coordinate with vendors for equipment evaluations and schedules.
• Work with Projects to procure electrical equipment on time.
• Coordinate with utilities on service requirements and designs.
• Develop methods for continuous design process improvements.
• Provide engineering support to existing plants to analyze issues.

As an Electrical Power Engineer III, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the electrical infrastructure behind industrial operations across our organization. This position provides electrical design services for the construction of industrial projects and provides electrical support for issues related to the installation and operation of electrical equipment associated with an industrial production process. This is an in‑office position.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties:

• Provide electrical designs and drawings for projects including primary electrical distribution, low voltage distribution, equipment specifications, equipment layout, lighting, grounding, and other related electrical issues.
• Perform various electrical studies such as load flow analysis, fault studies, arc‑flash evaluations and/or co‑generation application studies.
• Work with Projects department in determining electrical equipment requirements including specifications, power requirements, layout, and control requirements.
• Communicate with vendors to develop equipment evaluations, specifications, and workable delivery schedules for electrical equipment installation.
• Coordinate with Projects department to ensure accurate specification and procurement of electrical equipment in a timely manner to meet construction schedule.
• Work with electric utility companies to develop electrical service requirements and designs to provide adequate electric power to plants and to address co‑generation issues.
• Develop ideas and methods for the continuous improvement in the design process and equipment applications.
• Provide engineering support to existing plants in analyzing and resolving problems or addressing other electrical issues.
