Job summary

Trueline, an established Northern California design-build electrical contractor with a dedicated in-house engineering team, is seeking an Electrical Power Engineer to join their Fremont, CA team. You will design commercial and industrial electrical systems, support projects from concept through construction, and collaborate with project managers, estimators, field teams, clients, and engineering leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience designing electrical power systems for commercial or industrial buildings.
• Strong understanding of electrical power distribution and load calculations.
• Experience developing single-line diagrams and panel schedules.
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Ability to work onsite in Fremont, California (Mon-Fri).
• Collaborative, coachable approach and receptive to technical feedback.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical power distribution systems for commercial and industrial building projects.
• Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and engineering calculations.
• Perform load calculations and size electrical equipment.
• Develop single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and distribution plans.
• Design lighting systems, lighting controls, and equipment power connections.
• Design emergency power, generator, and UPS systems.
• Perform short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies.
• Coordinate electrical designs with other disciplines and review documents.
• Support projects across data centers, healthcare, education, and commercial facilities.
