Job summary

C&I Engineering in Louisville, KY is seeking a Senior Power Engineer to join our Electrical Engineering team. You will design electrical equipment and power distribution systems for oil & gas and related industries, using ETAP, SKM and other modeling tools.

The role requires an ABET-accredited degree and several years of experience, with domestic/international travel up to 10%. Good safety practices, TWIC eligibility, and a willingness to work at client sites are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an ABET-accredited engineering program with a minimum of 6 years of related work experience, or a bachelor's degree or higher from an ABET-accredited engineering technology program with 8 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally to client locations, vendor shops, and project sites. Travel may be up to 10%.
• MUST comply with drug-free workplace requirements and obtain TWIC where required.
• Must meet safety requirements and physical demands of field and site work.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical equipment for oil & gas, petrochemical, and related facilities.
• Design industrial power distribution systems with equipment specs, protection schemes, load analysis, fault and coordination studies.
• Perform electrical engineering calculations including load studies, voltage drop, wire/conduit sizing, and motor sizing.
• Utilize ETAP, SKM, and other modeling software for analyses.

About the opportunity: Senior Power Engineer

We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Power Engineer in our Louisville, KY office to help us achieve our company mission. This person will be part of the Electrical Engineering team, which is responsible for developing designs for electrical/power systems and performing a variety of computer-based modeling, design, engineering, and planning tasks on projects. C&I is a full-service engineering design firm providing engineering/design/project management and procurement services to various clients in oil & gas, food & beverage, and distilled spirits.

Responsibilities include:

• The Senior Power Engineer is responsible for designing electrical equipment for oil & gas, petrochemical, and other related facilities.
• Design industrial power distribution systems, including equipment specifications, protection schemes, load analysis, fault, and coordination studies.
• Performs electrical engineering calculations, including load studies, voltage drop calculations, wire and conduit sizing, and motor sizing.
• The Senior Power Engineer uses ETAP, SKM, and other similar modeling software.

• Valid Driver’s License.
