Job summary

CMC provides an excellent opportunity to learn the steel and construction reinforcement industries, growing in your career across office, crane operation, and manufacturing settings.

You will be part of a team supporting maintenance across facilities, using SAP and CMMS tools to maximize uptime and safety while delivering reliable electrical systems in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of industrial electrical experience, preferably in steel or heavy manufacturing.
  • Extensive experience in maintenance of electrical control and distribution systems and analog/digital circuits.
  • Electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting.
  • Heavy emphasis on electrical maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of SAP PM functionalities and integration points.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate up, down, and across the business.
  • Able to estimate labor hours, materials and visualize the job to be performed.
  • Able to read blueprints.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Demonstrate dependability in attendance and work completions; flexible to meet business needs.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Team player in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, schedules, and coordinates corrective and preventive maintenance activities with maintenance staff, contractors and external vendors.
  • Coordinate between craftsmen, operators, vendors, SMEs, and support groups.
  • Perform job scoping on notifications and work orders to estimate resources required.
  • Source parts, tools and equipment as needed so that work orders can be executed efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate equipment records, including BOMs, manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Use SAP to execute work orders and preventive maintenance; use QMOS to follow up on delays.
  • Plan production schedule with maintenance to maximize uptime and plan outages.
  • Participate in planning meetings.
  • Develop structure within CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Monitor KPIs and provide recommendations to improve financial and operational efficiency.
  • Adapt, learn and prioritize quickly in a dynamic environment.
  • Adhere to CMC safety policies and procedures.
  • Work safely by following safety rules, PPE requirements.

What You'll Do
  • Plans, schedules, and coordinates corrective and preventive maintenance activities with maintenance staff, contractors and external vendors

What You'll Need

  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with excellent strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills
Your Education
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
