Description

This position allows for a hybrid work schedule with a mix of work spent in the office and working remotely from home.

• This position offers the opportunity to utilize and expand your drafting skills within a multi-disciplinary team environment, collaborating with designers and engineers to prepare design drawings based on input.
• You will have the chance to apply your computer-aided drafting skills and receive hands-on training in 3D design software such as AutoCAD 3D and MicroStation.
• Your responsibilities include creating scaled drawings that show the relation of proposed installations to existing facilities, with precise specifications and dimensions.
• You may accompany experienced designers on walkdowns at client facilities to gather information for your projects.
• You will interface with vendors and contractors, explaining your drawings to facilitate appropriate design adjustments.

Qualifications

• An Associate's Degree in drafting or a high school diploma with equivalent technical design experience.
• 8+ years of drafting/design experience using tools like AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without computer aid.
• Ability to multi-task across projects.

Valued but not required skills:

• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for producing technical plans, drawings, and models.
• Understanding of engineering science and technology, including relating equipment to technical designs.
