Job summary

TPS in New Columbia, PA is seeking a paid Summer Internship for Electrical Panel Wiring. The role runs Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm in a climate-controlled production area and offers hands-on experience in electrical assembly and wiring.

You will assist with panel assembly for the Gruenberg line, drill and mount components, and wire control panels using PLCs and VFDs, applying NEC guidelines and OSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a two-year electrical degree program.
• Reading electrical schematics preferred.
• Willing to work overtime to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with assembly of electrical panel panels for Gruenberg line.
• Drill and tap sheet metal panels to layouts.
• Mount electrical components and mounting hardware.
• Wire control panels utilizing PLCs and VFD drives according to electrical schematic.
• Perform quality surveys to ensure accuracy of own work and others when required.
• Report issues through automated feedback system.
• Apply NEC code knowledge including conductor ampacity sizing and grounding/bonding.
• Follow OSHA safety regulations.
