Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies in Gray, LA is seeking an Electrical Technician I to assemble and wire control panels and related components. You will read drawings, use tape measures, and work with experienced teammates to deliver quality electrical assemblies for our customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school or coursework in electrical technology preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately and interpret drawings.

• Willingness to learn electrical assembly processes and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire electrical control panels, junction boxes, and components.
• Assist with building crates and prepping panels for shipment.
• Label panels and equipment according to drawings and specs.
• Read and interpret point-to-point drawings and schematics with guidance.
• Safely operate hand tools and measuring devices to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety policies.
• Collaborate with experienced technicians to build skills for greater independence.
