SJE, based in Lee, NH, is seeking an Electrical Panel Technician to assemble, wire, and test industrial control panels for municipal and industrial applications. You will use electrical drawings and project specifications to ensure panels meet UL 508A and UL 698A requirements while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

You will collaborate with the Design Team, perform quality inspections, track parts, document progress, and assist with pickups/deliveries as needed.

The Job:

As our Electrical Panel Technician , you will be responsible for assembling, fabricating, and wiring industrial electrical control panels for municipal and industrial applications. You will work from electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and project specifications to ensure control panels are built accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with SJE quality standards and applicable UL 508A and UL 698A requirements.

In this role, you will perform hands‑on panel assembly, component installation, fabrication, and wiring while maintaining a safe and organized workspace. You will collaborate with the Design Team to resolve technical questions, verify specifications, and ensure panels meet project requirements. You will also assist with quality inspections, document project progress, track incoming parts and materials, and maintain tools and equipment. Additionally, you may assist with the pickup and delivery of components and completed panels as needed.

The skills you need:

To succeed in this role, you should have experience with:

Assembling, fabricating, and wiring industrial electrical control panels using electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and project specifications.

Working with electrical components, wiring methods, hand tools, and power tools used in control panel manufacturing.

Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, technical drawings, and assembly instructions.

Understanding electrical control panel construction practices, including UL 508A and UL 698A requirements, or the ability to learn through provided training.

Maintaining accurate documentation of project progress, materials, and completed work.

Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to quality and workplace safety.

Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.

Strong problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in electrical control panel assembly, fabrication, or wiring.

Familiarity with electrical circuit design, component selection, and equipment sizing.

Experience with industrial instrumentation and automation components.

Familiarity with drafting software such as Microsoft Visio, EPLAN, or similar applications.

Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience
