The job:
As our Control Panel Test Technician III , you will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and troubleshooting custom-engineered electrical control panels to ensure they are built correctly and operate as designed. You will review fabrication, wiring, labeling, and design work for errors, safely energize and functionally test completed panels, and identify the cause of electrical or control system issues when problems arise.
You will work with a wide range of industrial control components, including PLCs, VFDs, soft starters, HMIs, circuit breakers and interlocks, relays, pilot lights, operators, and other control devices. You will also use electrical testing and diagnostic equipment such as voltage and current meters, loop calibrators, continuity and resistance testers, thermal cameras, torque wrenches, and PLC programming laptops to verify proper operation and support troubleshooting.
In this role, you will work closely with Engineering and Production to resolve discrepancies involving drawings, wiring, components, bills of material, and finished assemblies. You will support parameter setup and program loading when needed, maintain required panel and UL traceability documentation, and contribute to quality improvement efforts. As a Level III technician, you will also serve as a technical resource to the team by mentoring and supporting level I and II employees.

Four to six years of relevant electrical, controls, panel building, testing, commissioning, or quality assurance experience required.
