Job summary

Power-Flo Technologies in Rochester/Auburn, NY is seeking a System Design Engineer to design electrical panels and schematics for automation projects. This on-site role involves coordinating with panel technicians, reviewing BOMs, and guiding design from concept to completion.

The ideal candidate has AutoCAD Electrical experience and at least a 2-year technical degree, with a willingness to travel locally. Salary ranges from $55,000 to $95,000 annually and relocation is not provided.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical.
• Minimum 2 Year Technical Degree; 4 Year Degree is a plus.
• Knowledge of Tools and Fixturing required for control panel fabrication and wiring.
• Knowledge of UL 508A a plus.
• Must have a valid and clean driver2; license to travel to job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide estimates for labor, shop materials, and design time for proposals.
• Serve as the point of contact for Panel Technicians with technical questions and quality checks.
• Review sales BOMs and modify designs as needed after customer order.
• Complete mechanical and electrical designs using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Review drawings from other Panel Design Engineers and act as project manager.
• Provide customer post-sales support, including startups and core products.
• Assist with technical customer support.
