Job summary

PCT Ebeam and Integration, LLC in Davenport, IA is seeking an Electrical Assembler to build and wire electrical panels and machines. You will cut, drill, tap enclosures, and assemble control systems for large industrial equipment.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required, and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Requires experience and knowledge of electrical theory.
• Hands on knowledge of wiring practices.
• Requires knowledge of safe working practices around electricity in a fabrication setting.
• Experience with 480 preferred.
• Must be able to read electrical schematics.
• Must be familiar with portable power tools and machine tools such as drill press, bandsaw, hole saws, cordless drills and jig saws.
• Requires good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with employees.
• Requires a basic knowledge of carpentry and pneumatics.

Responsibilities

• Builds electrical panels by cutting, drilling, and tapping enclosures, including the use of hole saws, punch tools, jig saws, drills, and taps.
• Wires panels according to schematics by crimping ferrules and lugs, routing and landing wires point-to-point, and inspecting for workmanship and build quality.
• Solders connectors on cable ends when required.
• Wires machines between panels and field devices, including applying device labels and wire labels to maintain organization.
• Bends conduit and threads pipe as needed for installations.
• Assists with troubleshooting during equipment startup and supports resolution of wiring or connection issues.
• Manages tasks using Kanban boards to provide supervisors and project managers with accurate project status updates.
• Follows all electrical safety procedures and maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Communicates build issues or design discrepancies to engineering or supervisors in a timely manner.
• Provides support to coworkers by answering questions, demonstrating tasks, and sharing knowledge to help others become familiar with tools, materials, and work practices.
