The Electrical Operations Senior Technician will be responsible for safely energizing equipment, achieving essential milestones, and providing commissioning and maintenance to support the operation of critical systems and the energization of vital equipment.
Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For: Operate High, Medium, and Low voltage transformers ensuring stable voltages/currents while monitoring SAG'S using SCADA control systems. Establishing & revising operation standards, & SOPs; Perform review and the implementation of operation standards and SOP. Check on site the status of legal compliance in terms of operation and maintenance, issue and correct any nonconformity. Create and run installation, extension, maintenance, public office services necessary for power operation and organization of fire/electricity-accident response teams. Run power/emergency power facilities, analyze causes and provide emergency treatment in case of an emergency. Acquire upper level certifications and receive education for a high level technician.
Here’s what you'll need: 7+ years of industrial electrical operation experience. Demonstrated expertise in SCADA control of electrical distribution, motors, VFDs, and relays. Strong troubleshooting, leadership, and communication skills. Proficient with repeat back methodology especially during substation switching.
Proficient with evaluating alarm priorities and escalating as require in a timely manner. NFPA 70E Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW). Experience with high, medium, low voltage: example 138/12.47kv, 12.47/4160kv, 12.47/480 volt systems, Commissioning, and CMMS.
The current base salary range for this role is between $31.00 - $46.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
