Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an MEP Estimator II (Electrical) who will be responsible for gathering, calculating, and compiling data in order to produce project estimates; for smaller projects, this position will also prepare the full estimate.

Based in one of several locations (Denver, Minneapolis, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Chicago, or Milwaukee), you will takeoffs, solicit bids, prepare RFPs, and support the lead estimator with estimating software and data input.

Qualifications

• Degree in Estimating, Civil or Electrical Engineering, Construction Mgmt, or equivalent.
• 3+ years construction operations experience including materials management and project operations.
• Familiarity with estimating techniques and software.
• Detail oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Create project estimates and complete quantity takeoffs.
• Solicit trade partners and obtain bid estimates.
• Prepare RFP documents and schedules; use schedules for cost items.
• Support lead estimator with data input into estimating software.
