Title: Electrical Mechanical Technician

Location: North Tonawanda, NY

Training on 1st shift, then move to 2nd shift (3pm to 11pm) or 3rd shift (11pm to 7am)

As an Electrical Technician, you will support the operation of a fast-paced packaging manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate must be able to conduct, maintain, test, and repair electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. You should apply knowledge of electrical/mechanical principles to determine equipment malfunctions and restore operations across all manufacturing areas.

Primary duties include installing, starting up, and shutting down equipment in accordance with safety procedures and OSHA requirements; informing management and line mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and dangers; maintaining performance and maintenance records; performing preventative maintenance; assisting with troubleshooting; and other duties as needed. The ideal candidate will be committed to safety, capable of working in a fast-paced environment, eager to learn machinery maintenance, and interested in advancing within the company.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Electrical License required
  • Previous electrical maintenance experience in industrial or manufacturing settings
  • Military training and/or technical school
  • Computer operation experience and PLC programming skills
  • Flexibility to work any shift and overtime as required
  • Ability to maintain manufacturing equipment, follow directions, and perform other duties as assigned
  • Commitment to safety, maintaining a clean work environment, and compliance with safety regulations

Knowledge of electrical components and diagnostic instruments is essential.

The starting pay for this position ranges from $28.53/hr to $37.67/hr, depending on role, level, and location.
