Title: Electrical Mechanical Technician

Location: North Tonawanda, NY

Training on 1st shift, then move to 2nd shift (3pm to 11pm) or 3rd shift (11pm to 7am)

As an Electrical Technician, you will support the operation of a fast-paced packaging manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate must be able to conduct, maintain, test, and repair electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. You should apply your knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles to diagnose malfunctions and restore equipment across all manufacturing areas.

Primary duties include:

  1. Installing, starting up, and shutting down equipment following safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
  2. Informing management and line mechanics of potential electrical or mechanical problems and hazards.
  3. Maintaining performance and maintenance records for equipment.
  4. Performing preventative maintenance and assisting with technical troubleshooting.
  5. Performing other duties as required.

  • Possess a desire to learn complex machinery maintenance.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Electrical license.
  • Previous electrical maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Military training and/or technical school.
  • Computer experience and PLC programming skills.
  • Flexibility to work any shift and overtime.
  • Ability to maintain manufacturing equipment and follow instructions.
  • Commitment to safety and maintaining a clean work environment.

Knowledge of electrical components and diagnostic instruments is essential.
