Utz Brands, Inc. is hiring experienced Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Technicians for our Broadway Facility in Hanover, PA. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of automated packaging equipment and conveyors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance (electrical and mechanical).
• Experience with automated conveyor systems or warehouse distribution technology.
• Skilled at diagnosing issues with sensors, relays, VFDs and control panels.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair advanced conveyor belt systems and automated material handling equipment.
• Work with PLC systems, motor controls, DC/AC drives, and sensor-based automation.
• Install, wire, and maintain electrical components such as relays, motors, and panels.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly.
• Read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams with accuracy.
• Install conduit, EMT, and seal-tech to support upgrades and expansions.

This is a critical, full‑time role supporting automated conveyor systems and high‑speed packaging equipment, with a focus on troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.

Required shift: Friday – Sunday, 5:30 AM – 5:30 PM. We’re also offering a competitive sign‑on and retention bonus.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repairing advanced conveyor belt systems and automated material handling equipment
• Working with PLC systems, motor controls, DC/AC drives, and sensor‑based automation
• Installing, wiring, and maintaining electrical components such as relays, motors, and panels
• Performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly
• Reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams with accuracy
• Installing conduit, EMT, and seal‑tech independently to support system upgrades and expansions

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance (electrical and mechanical)
• Experience working with automated conveyor systems or warehouse distribution technology
• Skilled in diagnosing issues with sensors, relays, VFDs, and control panels
• Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs and working at heights up to 30 feet
• Strong troubleshooting mindset and attention to detail
• Experience in food manufacturing or packaging is a plus
