Job summary

Utz Quality Foods is seeking an Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Technician for our Manufacturing team in Goodyear, AZ. The role involves installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all mechanical and electrical components of production and facility equipment.

Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, with some Saturdays as needed. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of electrical/mechanical experience, can read blueprints, and is capable of independent troubleshooting and repair while

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical/mechanical/electronic experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings and electrical schematics.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of equipment quickly and independently.
• Lift up to 80 lbs.
• Willingness to work at excessive heights.
• Wear non-slip shoes and PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment including motor controls, drives, and packaging machinery.
• Repair facility equipment such as pumps, fans, HVAC systems, and hydraulic equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance planning and execution.
• Install and repair work from schematics or drawings.
• Contribute to quality and food safety tasks.

Job description

Utz Quality Foods is seeking an Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our Manufacturing team located in Goodyear, AZ. The E/M Maintenance Tech is responsible to work independently installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all mechanical and electrical components of production and facility equipment.

Shift hours are Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, with some Saturdays as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoots and repairs manufacturing equipment (motor controls, DC/AC drives and controls, frying and baking equipment, sheeters, extruders, temperature instrumentation, burner systems and controls, packaging machines, electronic scales, programmable logic controllers) etc.
• Responsible to repair various types of facility equipment (lift trucks, pumps, fans, air compressors, hydraulic equipment, HVAC) etc.
• Must be able to troubleshoot and repair PLC controlled equipment.
• Prepares, coordinates and implements preventive maintenance.
• Completes installation and repair work from schematics and drawings.
• Capable of minor electrical installations.
• Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for their position.

Requirements:

• Knowledge and skills in electrical, mechanical and electronic applications acquired through 2+ years of experience.
• Able to read and work from blueprints, drawings and electrical schematics.
• Requires the ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of equipment quickly and independently.
• Requires the ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Requires working at excessive heights.
• Required to wear non-slip shoes and appropriate personal protective equipment.
