LOCATION: Story City, IA
SHIFT: 12/HR Nights * $3/HR Shift Premium *
SUMMARY: Maintenance Technicians are responsible for electrical and mechanical systems in the facility, including daily troubleshooting and routine maintenance activities. They troubleshoot and repair equipment problems affecting productivity and participate in process improvements by providing input in production problem solving.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Two-year certificate in machining and/or electronics, or two years related experience, or equivalent education and experience.
Skills:
Knowledge of PLC systems and AC/DC drives.
Additional Skills:
Ability to interpret instructions, communicate effectively, and present information clearly.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to perform basic math operations, compute ratios, and interpret graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Apply common sense to carry out instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables.
Physical Demands:
Regular use of hands, standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, tasting, smelling, and lifting/moving over 100 lbs.
Work Environment:
Exposure to humid conditions, moving parts, heights, fumes, chemicals, weather, and noise. Risk of electrical shock and vibration.
