Mersen in Punxsutawney, PA is seeking a permanent, full-time General Maintenance technician with electrical maintenance capabilities. You will repair, maintain, test, and install mechanical and electrical systems, following blueprints and safety rules.

The role involves diagnosing faults, servicing production equipment, and coordinating with supervisors to return equipment to service. Ideal candidates have 2-year post-secondary electrical training, strong troubleshooting skills, and experience

Qualifications

• Repair, maintain, analyze, replace, install and test mechanical/electrical systems, circuits, and equipment.
• Must read blueprints and verify information for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Able to build electrical control panels, install conduit, and wire power sources.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and PPE usage is essential.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, analyze, replace, install and test mechanical/electrical systems, circuits, and equipment.
• Inspect equipment, diagnose trouble, and perform adjustments without supervision.
• Clean work area, document parts used, and notify department head to restore service.
• Possess ability to troubleshoot furnaces, kilns, conveyors, pumps, and related systems.
• Work from blueprints and manuals, selecting safe wiring methods and PPE.
