Job summary

Sika seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical, and process equipment in our Aurora facility. You will perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and quick repairs to minimize downtime while following plant policies and LOTO procedures.

You will collaborate with operators, maintenance staff, and engineers, maintain building systems, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts in a safety-focused environment with emphasis on reliability and

Qualifications

• Reading maintenance manuals, technical documents, schematics, and diagrams.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with coordination of outside contractors.
• Knowledge of quality management systems and programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance safely according to plant policies and procedures.
• Obtain permits and enforce lockout/tagout procedures before work.
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems including motors, drives, VFDs, and I/O networks.
• Maintain mechanical drive components and perform PM with proper lubrication.
• Coordinate repairs to minimize downtime and support production schedules.
• Collaborate with operators, maintenance staff, specialists and engineers on troubleshooting and improvement.
