Job summary

Edgewell Personal Care is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician in Knoxville, TN, to perform electrical and mechanical operations, set-up and adjustment of department machines, and environmental waste handling. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safe, reliable production.

Overtime and weekend shifts may apply as part of the project-based role through December 2027. The ideal candidate has at least five years of hands-on maintenance experience, reads

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five years hands-on experience in industrial electrical/mechanical maintenance.
• Must be able to correctly read and interpret instruments and gauges.
• Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC).
• Knowledge of discrete inputs and outputs in relation to a PLC.
• Knowledge of analog (4-20mA, 0-5V, 0-10V) inputs and outputs in relation to a PLC.
• Difference between sourcing and sinking inputs and outputs in relation to a PLC.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrates problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain thorough working, set-up and operating knowledge of machines, equipment and processes. Remove, replace, align and adjust all mechanical parts and units.
• Diagnose machine or equipment trouble and determine type and extent of repairs necessary.
• Tear down unit, repair or replace worn, broken or defective parts, reassemble set-up and try-out; make necessary adjustments to insure proper operation and quality production.
• Follow an established preventive maintenance schedule and perform a complete check out on each machine, as required Perform other duties as required.
